Things got a little spooky in the lab! Our Health Science students performed a pumpkinectomy, putting on their PPE and practicing their skills in a fun, hands-on activity. 🎃

This activity gave students a creative way to connect classroom learning with healthcare practices, including the importance of personal protective equipment (PPE), safety, and following proper procedures.

Who knew learning about healthcare could be so gourd-geous? 🍂🩺

🧤🧼 PPE, Infection Control & COOKIES????🍪

Who says learning about PPE and infection control couldn't involve a snack?! 😆

Today in CNA class, we put our skills to the test—and added a little sweetness! 🍪 Students learned why proper PPE, hand hygiene, and infection control matter so much in healthcare. Then we put our creativity to work decorating cookies.

Because apparently, a good way to remember “don’t contaminate your gloves” is to give students frosting and sprinkles. 😂

We learned, we laughed, we practiced, and yes… they ate a few cookies after showing they knew the proper process for doffing ! 🩺🍪
